To provide our clients with the support tools they need, Carilion-Spectrum offers LabVision, an advanced client connectivity solution that delivers high performance electronic test ordering, tracking and on-demand results retrieval.

LabVision is an easy-to-use, Web-based application providing private practices and our Patient Service Centers the ability to order lab tests with an intuitive, easily customizable and configurable application.

LabVision allows medical practices to place lab orders electronically, while giving the patient freedom to have their labs drawn immediately at the time of visit or at their convenience at a Patient Service Center.

When orders are complete, they are sent electronically to the performing lab. Upon specimen processing and resulting, the lab results are sent back to the individual practices electronically and are immediately available for physician review. Our system also manages Medical Necessity checking and produces Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABN) when needed for Medicare patients.

Other physician benefits include convenient, unlimited and secure access to patient test results, the ability to track and check the status of ordered tests, anytime and anywhere with an Internet connection and Web browser.

LabVision offers multiple, automated printing options such as order requisitions, specimen labels and daily order manifests to yield more efficient and faster workflows at busy doctor’s offices.
