Spectrum Laboratory Network adheres to standards for quality established by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA), the Joint Commission of Accreditation for Hospital Organizations (JCAHO), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) , and other regulatory agencies. Spectrum Laboratory Network complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and participates in external proficiency testing programs from CAP and other agencies. The CAP accreditation is widely recognized throughout the world as the "gold standard" for laboratory quality assurance.
